Well, I guess I should be flattered. I have signed papers for two other pre-adoptive parents to be the emergency care provider for their children.
A couple I used to work with (attorneys) have asked my DH and I to be the guardian of their child adopted from China should anything happen to them.
Are we that good? Do we make THAT good of an impression?
I am in my sister and bro-in-law's will as the guardian for my niece for the same reason.
Wow, I guess I'm doing ok with my kids.
Is it that? Or do I have "will sign anything" plastered to my forehead?
Don't get me wrong, I love all of these people. I love kids (I have to, I'm considering adopting two this time on top of the three I already have). I'm just wondering... Why us?

I know we put a lot of thought into who we would choose as guardians. We chose a couple who would parent most like us, would love our (future) children as their own, and lived nearby so that our children would be near their grandparents if anything ever happened. Everybody has a different process, but I bet a lot of people, including your friends and family, think like us.
Why you??? Well, because you are amazing people who have raised three wonderful children and who have experienced adoption first hand. You are loving, understanding and truly have your children's best interest at heart when dealing with everything. AND like the poster above, you'd raise our child like we hope to raise ours. That's why I'd choose you if the need ever arose again. :o)))
People like you! They really like you. (Sally Field rip off there).
Ha! Wicked Witch, you crack me up! It's so funny, that is how I feel, a bit more bewildered that her but.... maybe I should look into that. Maybe I need therapy or something. ;-)
Denise- thanks. Thanks. I kinda like you too. ;-)
Obviously you're doing something very right!
Can I list you for mine???
