From an E-mail I rec'd-
The bows have been untied, the presents unwrapped—and now the cleanup begins. When you consider all of the extra shopping bags and packaging materials used during the holiday season, it's not surprising that Americans throw away 25% more trash between Thanksgiving and New Year's. Here are a few easy things you can do to reduce your impact as you gather up the gift wrap, take down the tree—and start playing with all of those fun new gadgets in your stocking:
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Don't let those decorations and pretty packages end up in a landfill. Save gift bags, ribbons and even wrapping paper that's in good condition for reuse next year, and go to Earth911 to search by region or zip code for services that will pick up your Christmas tree (or let you drop it off) for recycling. Here's a quick refresher on the three Rs (just in case).
And this is just too cool.
Have more chargers than you can keep track of? Invest in a Solio Universal Hybrid Charger. It can plug in to the wall if need be, but it also has the ability to store energy from the sun. Plus, it comes with multiple adapter tips that work with a wide variety of devices, from cell phones to digital cameras to whatever other cool new gadget Santa brought you.

We invested in a living tree this year. Although is costs more and is smaller then our usual, it's potted and ready for transplant after we take off the decorations.
We also use mostly gift bags so all that wrapping paper isn't wasted, or the old fashioned newspaper as wrapping. You can also purchase a gift tag punch and recycled paper to make tags!
Glad to see someone else paying attention!!!
