Outlander Series

I must admit, I am a total freakfest regarding Diana Gabaldon and her Outlander Series. I love those books. LOVE them. LOOOOOOOOVE them.

She is working on the seventh book right now and plans on it being out in 2009. It is amazing to me that I have been reading this series since before I was married which is about 11 years ago. I have a slavish adoration that is almost unbearable, almost a LUSTING for the story.

Sad, so sad. Ah, such a bittersweet feeling I had as I read the two excerpts that she posted on Monday. So close, I could almost touch the smooth cover of the novel, then.... an abrupt end and nowhere to go after a fleeting few paragraphs. Oh Diana, write with speed, I shall die if I do not read those lovely new words of Jamie, Claire, Brianna and Roger and Ian and Janet and, and, and.......... (back of my hand resting against my brow, ready to swoon). Good G*d I'm sick.

Thank goodness she has published a "Methadone List" to tide me over in her "Outlandish Companion".
